Oquirrh Mountain Temple/ and Temple Square

While we were still in Utah, we made reservations to attend the Open House for the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. It is a beautiful temple, and we were so glad that our kids had the experience to see the inside of the temple. It was a very spiritual experience. We also took them to Temple Square to see the Salt Lake Temple. While we were there we watched the Joseph Smith movie at the Visitor's Center. It is a great movie! It makes you think a lot about how much Joseph Smith sacrificed to do the work of the Lord. After Temple Square we headed back to Logandale. It was a very fun trip!

Conner at BYU's Baseball Camp

We dropped Conner, Preston(my nephew), and Conner's friend Trevor off on Monday at BYU's Baseball camp. Conner was so excited to be on his own. He stayed in the dorms and roomed with his good friend Trevor. They stayed there for 3 nights and four days. The most exciting thing for Conner was eating in the buffet. He loved to pick and choose what he wanted to eat that meal. Each night after Baseball instruction they had fun activities to do. One day, they went to 7 peaks water park. Conner was highly impressed with the water slides they had there. He learned a lot from the camp, and was so glad he had the opportunity to go. Derek has already been begging me to let him go next year! We were very glad that Steve's parents were able to bring Preston and Conner home from the camp, so we didn't have to make a special trip back to Provo!(Thanks)!

Bridle Veil Falls in Provo, UT

While we were in Provo, we headed over to Bridle Veil Falls. The kids would have attempted climbing all the way to the waterfall if I hadn't intervened half way there. They had fun playing in the freezing, cold water. After the falls, we took the kids to the park that is right around the corner from the waterfall. The boys went exploring in the creek next to the park, and even caught a fish with their bare hands. Alexa kept walking over to a family that was having a picnic. She loves to beg for food! Apparently, they couldn't resist her smile and insisted we eat watermelon and chicken with them.

Stadium of Fire in Provo, Utah

This year for the Fourth of July we went to the Stadium of Fire in Provo, Ut. They have an awesome fireworks display! Each year they have a couple of bands perform. This year it happened to be the Jonas Brothers and SheDaisy. The kids actually preferred SheDaisy over the Jonas Brothers. I thought they both did a great job! We had a crew of people with us at the show. Steve's parents, nephew Mason, Conner's friend Trevor, Steve and I and all five kids.
