Continuation of Day 2 at the Beach

These were more of the pictures that we loved from the beach. The kids collected a whole bucket of interesting looking sea shells. They were so proud of their finding!Derek is the child buried in the sand. Sydney also was buried, but I didn't post that picture. Alexa loved eating snacks, and laying on the warm sand.

Day 2 at the Beach

We met up with Steve's cousin Joy, and her three girls at the beach. They all got along well, and had so much fun. Most of the day was spent boogie boarding, collecting seashells, burying each other in the sand, and eating sand covered food! We love going to the beach!

Day one at Santa Monica Beach

It was beautiful weather while we were in California. Most of the time the temperature was in the middle seventies. We all enjoyed going to the beach, and walking the Pier. The kids loved the play equipment. Each of them tried climbing a tall rope, and swinging on the gymnastics bars. We were planning to rent an over sized bike for our whole family to ride, but they didn't have one big enough (Go Figure)!

Dodger's Game

We decided to take a trip to California before school started. While we were there we went to a Dodgers game. It started at 7:00 P.M., but by the time we got there it was 8:15. They were in the 3rd inning. By the 9Th inning the score was still 0 to 0. In the tenth inning the Braves scored 2 runs, and the Dodgers ended up losing. It was 11:30P.M. before we even got out of the game. If it wasn't so late, we would have gotten a family picture of us at the game. I guess Alexa didn't want her picture taken!

Cameron's Tooth

Cam lost his first tooth! I was brushing his teeth the other day, and he was screaming that I hurt his tooth! The next thing I knew he was showing me his loose tooth. I asked him if he wanted me to pull it! He didn't hesitate a second! He's been looking so forward to loosing a tooth, and getting money from the Tooth Fairy! He got me a paper towel, and I yanked it out in seconds. Cameron didn't even flinch! He is one tough kid! The next morning he was very excited that the Tooth Fairy had left him 2 dollars.

Our Little Alexa

Alexa is in such a cute stage right now. She is 19 months old, and is talking up a storm. She understands pretty much everything others say, and she can say many words that are very clear. Her favorite things to say are, "I want gum", and "I want mom." She is like my shadow. She thinks she needs to be by my side every second of the day. She also likes to say Abby and Josh. These are two of her cousins that live in Logandale that are around her same age. She can pretty much repeat anything you say to her, as long as it is one word at a time. She loves to sing songs from her Baby signing time videos, and she is always dancing. She has very good rhythm for her age. She is still using her sign language, but now she says the word while she is signing. She loves to play house with Sydney. She carries around her dolls and pretends to feed, and burp them. She is also a climber. She can climb up anything and everything. She is very careful not to fall while doing her climbing stunts. The other day she went outside with her cousin Abby. When I checked on them, I discovered she had mud all over her face. She had turned on the hose and watered the dirt. Then she decided to rub the mud all over her face. I can't believe Abby was still clean! She is one funny child! We are so glad she is in our family. We all love her, and her siblings adore her.

Derek's head injury

Derek, Conner, and their cousin Jaren were playing baseball. Conner was pitching, Derek was the catcher, and their cousin Jaren was the hitter. I'm not sure exactly what happened, but Derek got hit with the ball hard enough to make his head swell up! Hallelujah for ice! By the next morning most of his swelling was gone! He now only sports a bruise!

More Lizard Catching

My sister Angela, and her four kids were here visiting for 21/2 weeks. The kids had a great time playing with their cousins. We went to the movies, water park, cabin in Pine Valley, and did a lot of swimming. The kids were also on a lizard catching kick. They caught a ton of lizards! I didn't take pictures of all of them, but this was one of their favorite lizards. Their Uncle Justin helped catch this one. The most they caught in one day was ten lizards. I told the kids that they can catch as many lizards as they want, but they have to let them go at the end of the day. They were fine with this agreement!

Fun times with cousins

We went to the Mesquite Water Park with my sister Angela, my brother Lance, and my sister in law Kayla. Between all of us we had 11 kids. The kids had a fun time with their cousins.

Sydney's New Doo

Posted by Picasa

Well, Sydney decided that she really liked the new hair cut her cousin Rylee got. So, we asked her if she wanted to get a similar cut. With no hesitation, Sydney had an appointment with Heidi and she looks adorable with the new style.
