Primary Program
Today was the Primary program for our ward. Conner, Derek, and Cameron wore their suits for this special day. Each of the kids had a part. Cameron was assigned to hold up a picture of the Australian temple while the rest of the kids sang, "I love to see the Temple." Connor and Derek both had talking parts. They worked hard to memorize their parts (They weren't short parts). They were proud to say they didn't miss a word today while performing for parents. I guess all the work of practicing paid off! All three of the boys did awesome!
As for this picture of Derek and Sydney, they were the first to get ready to get their picture taken. It was so cute we couldn't resist posting it!

Alexa's Crawling!
It took nine and a half months, but Alexa is officially a crawler. She is definitely motivated by candy (suckers especially). She is starting to maneuver all around the house now! Her older siblings are extremely excited! They have been waiting for this day for two months now.
Talent Show
Cameron and Sydney were invited by their cousin Rylee to a Talent show at her house. The day of the performance was quite funny. Sydney had been so excited to do her talents(Hickory Dickory Dock, I am a Child of God, and Ballet),but when the time came she froze like a deer in a spot light. Rylee volunteered to stand next to her while she performed. Apparently, that's all she needed! Sydney did great!! Cameron rode his ripstick for his talent. He can cruise on that skateboard. It's amazing how well he can ride for being only five year old. It was fun to see the other kids perform their talents. Some of the other talents consisted of cheers, magic shows, drawings, break dancing, singing, and telling stories. The kids seemed to have a fun time. When the talents were done they enjoyed snow cones, and Grandma Terry's home made chocolate chip cookies.

Piano Anyone?
The big day finally came for Derek. He's been begging to do what Conner has been doing for over a year now. Derek had his first lesson last week. He is having a great time so far. Conner continues to practice often and ejoys learning the piano. It looks like both boys are trying to get Alexa a head start at an early age.
Who's Calling Conner???
Apparently Conner has a secret admirer. On Friday night, we got a call around 9:30pm. Sandy recognized the number and heard peculiar giggling on the other end of the line. They then disconnected and quickly called back. Guess they didn't realize we have caller ID... On the third call, Sandy asked Derek to grab the phone. This time, over the sounds of multiple giggles, the voice on the other end of the line politely asked to speak to Conner. When Conner got on the phone, the young girl softly said, "Conner, I love you." Conner's reply was, "Yeah, I know, you told me that last year." They quickly said their goodbyes and that was it.
Mom and Dad couldn't resist. We've staged a few calls since just to tease Conner...and it's worked. It took a good 8 prank phone calls by us for Conner to realize that we've been calling. He doesn't think we're very funny...but we do!!!
Dad Has Lunch With Cam at School
Cameron has been a bit bothered since school started about not seeing his dad anymore. It's been difficult because the days that dad works, Cam goes to school and doesn't see him all week. So, last Thursday, Steve showed up at school to have lunch with Cam while on his way to work. Cameron was so excited and the two enjoyed a delicious (WHATEVER) cafeteria pizza lunch together. Steve also got to breifly hang out on the playground with him as well.
Look at Cam with that tasty school pizza!

Happy Birthday Sydney
Sydney's birthday started off as a good day. She went to school with mom, then dad showed up with some doughnuts for the whole class.
Sydney came home and got ready for her afternoon party. She spent so much energy before the kids showed up that she fell asleep about 20 minutes ahead of time. While Sydney was snoozing, we got a call from Perkins Elementary with news that Cameron was in the midst of vomiting. So, Dad made a quick trip to the school to get him. Later, while eating cupcakes at the party, Sydney too started to throw up. What a way to make for an interesting party. She quickly got cleaned up and picked up right where she left off.
By the end of the party, both Sydney and Cameron seemed to be in good spirits. They played several games and opened presents. Sydney received a pretty cool Barbie Throne from mom and dad. She and Alexa both looked like official princesses sitting in it.
Alexa got excited as she watched all the kids running around her. She rarely fusses, she just likes to sit back, relax, and observe the others. She did manage to snatch a pink cupcake from one of the kids...

Back to School
Conner is all ready to make his first appearance in the 4th grade. He is very excited to be back in school.
Derek has been itching to get back to school to see all of his friends. He is starting the 2nd grade and ready to get sports underway.
Cameron is starting Kindergarten. He was actually a bit apprehensive about going to school this year. He is now in school all day long at Perkins. It is taking Cam some time to adjust to the long day, but he is becoming more accustomed to his schedule.
Sydney polished off a plate of eggs before heading off to her first day of pre-school with mom. Sydney is a lucky little girl who now goes to class with mom 4 days a week. She was anxious to get her new clothes and shoes on to head off to class.
No school for little Alexa, but she does want to show off the premiere of her teeth. She now has the first two on the bottom.
