ALEXA'S GROWING UP!!!
Our little baby Alexa is growing up too fast! She is 10 1/2 months old. She is crawling around all over the place. She also pulls herself up to a standing position, and can stand for quite a while without any support. She loves to clap her hands, wave bye-bye, and play with her big sister Sydney. Sydney loves to play house with Alexa. We've discovered Alexa's favorite food is mashed potatoes with gravy. She doesn't eat baby food at all anymore. She thinks she is way to big for that. She eats what ever the rest of us are eating minus a few things she isn't old enough to eat yet. She is adored by her brothers, sister, and parents. We all love her so so so much!!

WE'VE BEEN SPOOKED!!
One Halloween Tradition in our subdivision is Spooking people. Spooking means knocking on a door, leaving a treat with a note saying you've been spooked, and then running before they catch you. Nobody is supposed to know who Spooked them. However, that didn't happen quite right for our family. A few days following our spook, we made popcorn balls to deliver to a few other families. Conner and Cameron were in charge of delivering for one of the families. I took a picture of them right before they knocked. They were in position to run, when they were caught red handed!! The person who caught them felt so bad! She asked the boys if they wanted her to shut the door and pretend she didn't see them. Conner told her that would be a little boring! What is so funny about the whole thing is that we were caught red handed last year too!
PUMPKIN PATCH
The Early Childhood class that Sandy teaches went on a Field Trip to the Agricultural Farm/Pumpkin Patch. Parents of the children in the class were highly encouraged to participate in this activity. Steve brought Sydney and Alexa along for the fun. The students were able to pet the animals which consisted of ducks, chickens, and cows. Then they took a hay ride over to the pumpkin patch. They roamed through the patch looking for just the right pumpkin to take home. The Field trip ended with cupcakes and apple juice. As you can tell from one of the pictures, Sydney was slightly worn out by the end.
DEREK'S 8TH BIRTHDAY!
On October 13th Derek turned 8 years old. This is an exciting Birthday for him. He gets to be baptized, attend scouts, and receive a BB Gun from Grandma and Grandpa Terry.
Derek wanted to have a sleepover party, but we talked him into having a late night instead. The party was from 7-10PM. Fifteen High Energy boys showed up for the party.
During the party the kids made Halloween sugar cookies, ate pizza and cake, opened presents, jumped on the trampoline, played football, rode ripsticks, and Frankly just had a blast!
LES MISERABLES
Steve and I took Conner and Derek to see the musical Les Miserables at Tuacahn. We explained the story and had them watch the movie before going. The day of the show it was pouring rain. We kept thinking they would cancel the show, but the rain stopped in time for the show to start. We bought all kinds of fun treats to eat during the 3 hour production. The treats consisted of frozen lemonade, popcorn, and a bag of assorted Halloween candy. The rain drizzled a little through out the show, but the last 30 minutes it poured. We were all soaked!! The blanket we brought came in handy with the freezing cold weather. We had left our camera in the diaper bag when we dropped off the other kids, but we saw someone we knew at the play. She took our picture and e-mailed it to us. What we will do for a picture!!! When all was said and done we were glad we went(even in the rain.) The play was wonderful!

SOCCER TIME!!!
One thing I can say is that our life is not dull! When kids are in sports it consumes our life. The kids are all having fun playing Soccer. Conner, Derek, and Cameron all play and are all on different teams. Steve coaches Derek's team, and Sandy coaches Cameron's. Conner will just have to wait until Basketball season to have one of his parents coach his team. Derek enjoys having his cousin Mason on his team, and Cameron loves having his cousin Rylee on his team.
Monday is the craziest day of the week at the Reese Household. Conner has Soccer from 3:30-4:30, Cameron from 4:00-5:00, and Derek from 5:00-6:00. Sounds pretty good until you throw in Scouts for Conner from 4:00-5:00, and Derek's scouts from 4:30-5:30. That gets a little more tricky! We've decided that Conner and Derek will go to half of Soccer, and half of Scouts until Soccer season ends. In the meantime Mom and Dad will just have to endure the chaos of getting kids to and from their destinations!
WANT TO HAVE A SNOWBALL FIGHT?
The day before we returned home from Salt Lake the news had mention of a possible snowfall. The kids were ecstatic to say the least! We went to bed Saturday night without snow, and woke up with 2 inches of snow. The kids woke up in the hotel room at 6:30 in the morning, pulled back the curtain to the window, and shouted loud enough to wake up the whole first floor. Apparently, they were excited about the snow! They quickly got dressed, and were out the door in a flash. They ran around outside throwing snowballs at each other. The snow was a good ending to our fun weekend.

MILKING LOLA!!!
While in Salt Lake we discovered Wheeler's Farm. It is a county owned park. Steve's parents, and sister Sheri(Mike and Jillian) went with us.The kids were excited to see piglets that were 5 days old. Piglets are definitely cute, but you have to remember that they grow up. The kids fed ducks, played in a tree house, and milked a cow! Yes,you read that right. We paid 50 cents a kid, and they were able to milk old LOLA! The boys thought that was the highlight of the trip. I have to admit it was quite funny to see them milking. Cameron was the funniest to watch. He had no reservation. He pulled his bench as close to the cow as he could, moved the pail, and milked like he did it for a living. Sydney did not like it as well. In her words it was, "Disgusting." That's a girl for you! She did love hanging out with her cousing Jillian.
SALT LAKE HERE WE COME
We had such a fun weekend in Salt Lake City. Our trip was planned around Steve's Aunt and Uncle leaving to be Temple Presidents in North Dakota. Originally, we were going to leave Friday and come back Sunday, but Steve and the boys were looking at the game schedule for the Utah Jazz and discovered their was a pre-season game Thursday night. We booked tickets on line, and headed to Salt Lake Thursday around noon. We got to the game just in time. The Jazz were playing the Phoenix Suns. It was a good game even though the Jazz lost by 9 points. The boys were quite excited to be at a professional basketball game!
NOT CONNER'S DAY!!
Conner has not had the best week. He had the throwing up flu over the weekend. He was complaining that his throat hurt a lot so we took him to the doctor. It was strep throat. It wasn't an hour after we got home from the doctor that Derek came running in the house screaming that Conner had blood everywhere!!! I mentally prepared myself for what I might see as I ran outside! Conner had blood on his face, hands, knees, and stomach. I took him in the house to wash some of the blood away so that I could see more clearly where it was coming from. We discovered it was his mouth. He had broken one of his permanent teeth in half, and loosened two other permanent teeth. He also had road rash everywhere on his body. His hip bone had a welt the size of a golf ball. Apparently, Conner was riding his bike while Derek and a friend were throwing a ball back and forth to each other. Somehow the ball hit the front of Conner's bike tire. He flew over the handle bars and landed face first on the pavement before skidding. I called one of my Hygienist friends over to look at the damage. She got me an appointment the next morning with the Dentist. Derek has been labeled the Hero by the dental staff, because he found the other half of Conner's tooth. They were able to glue the tooth back together. It looks great! As for the other loose teeth, the roots were strong and they have tightened up! Hurray for Dentists!!!
